Recent work – a quick update

October 12th, 2011

Just a quick update on some of the projects we’ve been working on lately….

We recently finished up a music video for Word Records artist “For King & Country” – two days of shooting in blistering heat was well worth the final product. See the video (as well as behind-the-scenes footage) over at www.harshmedia.com.

.

Also, we recently worked with country music sensation Jo Dee Messina (Curb Records). You can view the photos and watch the behind-the-scenes video to find out what went on during the shoot at our website as well.

We’re currently working on a photo project with Dave Pittman (you might remember him from American Idol) – Jake put himself on the edge of a rooftop to ensure he got the best photo….which was against my better judgement (but he did it anyway, of course). The results were amazing – check them out in the commercial and imagination sections on harshmedia.com.

.

Until next time…..

Christian Siriano delivers at Nashville Fashion Week.

April 1st, 2011

I gotta admit, I’m fairly new to the world of Christian Siriano. I’m not new to the world of fashion – don’t get me wrong, I love watching the trends - but have never been one to get glossy-eyed by designers and labels. I’ve never watched more than a few minutes of Project Runway (the show that gave Christian the stage he needed to elevate his talent). And I’ve definitely never bought a ridiculously expensive designer dress just because.

The heads of Nashville Fashion Week were so kind in giving Jake and myself full access to view and photograph the entire week of shows. I was looking forward to seeing designers like Betsey Johnson; when I heard that Christian Siriano would be headlining (judging from the small bits of work I’d seen on the likes of Melania Trump and Anne Hathaway), I was expecting to at least be entertained.

But something happened last night. Watching the Christian Siriano line brush past me from my front row spot (yes, I actually got hit by one of the giant dresses), I began to take notice to stitching and other small details like I never have before. The choices in fabric were spot on. The way it laid so perfectly on the body was meticulously thought out. The minute details like ruching, zipper placement, and the simple way the outfit moved, began to spring into view. Moving art.

I left the venue with new eyes. This guy knows what he’s doing – it’s true, seeing is definitely believing. And he definitely made a believer out of me.
